About the event
Much play, much exploration. Coffee and tea included. We'll be diving into the range of possibilities using natural pigments as a creative medium: designing unique color palettes to the blooming season and region and covering how to properly treat our textiles for longevity. Learn how to hammer flower patterns onto fabric and rub petals onto tote bags as if they're saturated crayons. We may even be squeezing lemons on roses and watch the colors shift before our eyes... a world to be discovered! Walk away with many treasures.
Zab Shavrick is a Portland-based multi-media artist, graphic designer and professor specializing in illustration, risograph, watercolor, gouache, natural pigment, tile and tattoo.
